Saying “No” allows for your authentic “Yes” to emerge.

Very often, we say we want something… we say we’re ready for something good… something big… we’re hopeful, we’re prayerful, and we’re thinking positively…

But, nothing is happening.

We may get frustrated because what we say we want isn’t transpiring...

Are we cursed? Are we being punished? Is our character being tested?

Nope.

We can tell ourselves that the Universe is against us… We can tell ourselves that God is preparing us for what’s meant for us by making us wait… We can act helpless & tell ourselves we just need to be patient and pray more… We can make up stories as to why it’s not possible to have what we want…

All of these behaviors are the ways we disempower ourselves… These are the ways we play the Victim in our lives.

We are not victims.

We are the co-creators of our existence - it’s us + the Divine. (whatever you want to call it: God/Universe/Higher Power/Source/Bob (for all I care😉)) We can pray, meditate & manifest all day long…. BUT, IF WE’RE NOT TAKING ACTION, none of the things we’re trying to call into our lives will ever come to fruition.

We are not the most powerful beings in the world… no matter how hard I try, I cannot control whether I will win the lottery… there is a power outside of me that determines which lottery numbers are called each week…

BUT, I can choose to play the lottery or not…

Very often, in life, we find ourselves complaining that we haven’t won the lottery… but, we’re not even buying a fucking ticket! (I don’t recommend playing the lottery lol, I’m just giving this example)

When we continually find ourselves in struggle, and not making progress in a certain area, we’re probably not actually ready for what we say we’re ready for because it would mean we have to let go of the identity we’ve created around the current situation… it would mean we have to let go of the stories we tell ourselves about why we don’t have what we want… it would mean we can’t play the Victim role anymore & feel sorry for ourselves… and some of us (all of us at times lol) LOOOOOOOVE to play the victim & have our pity parties.🥳😉

Getting what we want would mean we have to take action.

We say we want abundance, we say we want partnership or great love, we say we want great health & vitality, we say we want joy & pleasure… but, our actions are not in alignment with these things.

Our actions show us what we’re actually a “yes” to at any given moment…

  • If our actions are fear-based around our finances, we will not achieve abundance, because we are living in a scarcity mindset. If we’re filling our days with menial tasks, instead of action toward our abundant dreams, we’re not allowing abundance into our lives. Our actions are in alignment with fear, not abundance.

  • If we are allowing half-assed effort & mediocrity in love to take up time & energy in our lives, we’re not allowing space for great love to emerge… if we never really put ourselves “out there” we’re not taking the action necessary to allow great love to find us… if we remain guarded, instead of allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, we’re not preventing new heartbreak - we’re living in our old heartbreak - and we’re preventing new love from reaching us… as love requires surrender of our defenses, as well as a knowing that we will be okay & worthy of love, regardless if a relationship works out or not. Our actions are in alignment with fear & control, not love.

  • If we’re eating shitty food, not sleeping, letting stress overrun our lives, and not moving our bodies in a healthy way… we will never have health & vitality. Our actions are in alignment with poor health & self-abuse, not vitality.

  • If we fill our days with shit we don’t want to do, or tasks other people want us to do, we will never have time for activities that give us pleasure & joy. Our actions are in alignment with unworthiness & self-abuse, not joy & pleasure.

Don’t say you want something, but then take action in the opposite direction - No action is an action too. Don’t say you want something, but then let everyone else dictate how you spend your days…

The first step in co-creating whatever it is you desire in your life is saying “no” to whatever it is you don’t want…

I’m loosely quoting Rachel Maddox when I say “Saying ‘no’ to what you don’t want, allows room for your Sacred ‘yes’ to emerge.”

Your Sacred ‘yes’ is that deep calling of your heart… it’s your deepest desire… it’s what you came here to do…

None of us came here to be stressed out, lonely, unhealthy & unhappy. We create these states by not living in alignment with our Highest Self.

When you’ve created space in your life by saying “no” to whatever you don’t want, you can then begin to take action toward what you DO want….

But, allowing shit you don’t want to fill up your life, or sitting around hoping & praying ain’t gonna cut it…

Getting really, radically honest about what we’re allowing in our lives is how we begin to take our power back… taking action is how we embody our power and make it our reality.

We are not victims of circumstance - we are the creators of our circumstances. (as adults at least… kids are very often victims of their circumstances… it’s not their fault they were a victim, but it is their responsibility as an adult to overcome that victimhood… which is who I’m speaking to now - the adult in all of us.)

Boundaries are the guideposts to the life, love & relationships we desire… it is OUR responsibility to set AND enforce our boundaries… no one else’s.

  1. Get clear on what you want.

  2. Set boundaries around that desire & do not let anything that is not in alignment with it penetrate those boundaries.

  3. Take action toward what you do want.

  4. Be present & appreciate your desired circumstances fully.

Don’t live someone else’s life. The life you want is possible… it’s up to you to build it.

XO,

Stacie
